Rethink

So over the weekend I was looking at my book and I'm not happy with it. I tried to convince myself that the smudging was ok, and on some pages it is. However on other pages the writing is illegible. I'm not going to hand in something shoddy so I've decided to re-print it. I'm going to have a look in the shop tomorrow for some thinner paper.

It's printed!.

Saw Steve today and he was so helpful. It took us ages to print the book, indesign was such a pain in my foot. I originally wanted to print the book perfect bound like this...

Unluckily we couldn't get it to do this, so ended up saving the file as a PDF and printing it as a booklet...

Still, at least it's printed now. Because the paper was quite thick it did end up smudging slightly, but it adds an effect to the paper in a way. Now I can start painting it....

So as you know before I can't print my book at home so I'm going to print it at Uni. There's a guy called Steve Cole doing inductions in the Adobe software so hopefully he'll be able to help me. Going to go to see him on Friday the 22nd so until then will be keeping myself busy with  the drawings for the book as well as the group pitch project which is becoming a dilema in itself. Getting close to the end of term now, less than a month away, so starting to panic.

Bit of an issue

So. I bought the paper today from the Uni shop. It's called somerset satina and cost me a whole £8 (10 sheets at 80p each). I took it to my boyfriend's as he said he'd help me print it. Unfortunatley his printer isn't double sided and the whole thing became a bit complicated for the both of us, so I'll have to try printing it at Uni....
