I finished the book today. It's been sewn together, which was actually easier than I expected and I've mande the front cover out of mountboard covered in velvet. I'm really happy with the way it looks and proud of what I've made. I hope it shows my tutors my skills and I hope the effort and work I've put into it shows.

Painting begins
As soon as I got home Friday night I started painting and I'm really pleased with what I 've done. Four day of solid painting and my fineliner is well and truly dead but its done. Some of the pages could have been better if id had more time, but overall I'm happy with the way it looks. It will probably look better when it's all come together and bound. Will be seeing Sam on Wednesday so he can show me how to do it then.

Second time lucky
Been in to Uni today to re print my book. On Tuesday I found A3 cartridge paper at only 15p a sheet so just bought 5 of those and cost me next to nothing. Its thinner than the other paper but still suitable for painting on. I thought the printing aspect of today would be fine as me and Steve managed to do it only a couple of weeks ago. Of course, nothing ever goes simply with me. We couldn't work out how we had printed it and between us we probably killed a couple of trees with the amount of paper we printed out. After fiddling with the printer settings of Indesign for about three quarters of an hour I finally managed to print the damn thing. And... I printed it perfect bound, the way I had orignally wanted to print it, as opposed to a booklet! Don't ask me how I did it, I still don't know myself. The ink smudged a little onto the paper but no where near as much as it did before- its perfectly legible and looks so much better. I'm so glad I decided to reprint it. It was worth the time, effort and train fare into London.
